The "Workshop" took place on July 20, 2002 – August 17, 2002, at the premises of the Mikulov Chateau with a significant aid of the staff of the Regional Museum in Mikulov.
The ceremonial opening took place on July 20, 2002, at 17.00 o'clock at the premises of Salla Terrena of the Mikulov Chateau. On this occasion, the speeches were kindly presented by: vice-mayor of the town of Mikulov Vojtěch Příbramský, director of the Regional Museum in Mikulov Mgr. Dobromila Brichtová, Symposium curator Ivana Lomová, representative of the Advisory Committee Libor Lípa and director of the production company AVEDON Mgr. Jitka Chromá. The accompanying speech was presented by the MAS production manager Jitka Kapičáková Havlíková. Vítězslav Vrbka did not deprive us of his traditional Salute of the Oversensitive. The exhibition of the Men Choir of Extreme Folklore Krása opened the unofficial part of the evening, which continued in the chateau garden where the organizers prepared the "July night" together with the Cultural Centre Mikulov. The groups Sedmá Figarova and Velvet
Underground Revival performed there.
On the eve of the private view, on August 16, 2002, a concert took place in the chateau garden. The revival group Kakadu Music took care of a show in the style of the seventies. The takings for the tickets, which reached CZK 16,751 altogether, were dedicated to help the areas damaged by the floods in August. Herewith we thank all participants for it. The concert was organized in co-operation with the Cultural Centre Mikulov.
Before the ceremonial unveiling of the works produced during the "Workshop", on August 17, 2002, at 15.00 o'clock, those interested could visit the private view of the exhibition of photographs "Mikulov photographing" (L. Drezdowicz, B. Holomíček, M. Klimeš, J. Lipscher, B. Procházková, R. Smith, P. Šmíd and L. Vojtěchovský). The exhibition was prepared by the Regional Museum in Mikulov.
The private view of the Mikulov Art Symposium "Workshop" 2002 took place on August 17, 2002, at 17.00 o'clock in the Gajdoš Hall (Hall of Ancestors) of the Mikulov Chateau. The Men Choir of Extreme Folklore Krása was in charge of the welcome again and it confirmed its success from the MAS opening. The guests were addressed by: vice-mayor of the town of Mikulov Vojtěch Příbramský, director of the Regional Museum in Mikulov Mgr. Dobromila Brichtová, chairperson of the Cultural Committee of the Council of the South Moravian Region ing. arch. Lydie Filipová, representative of the MAS Advisory Committee Libor Lípa, manager of the production company AVEDON Mgr. Jitka Chromá, Symposium curator Ivana Lomová, Symposium participants Erika Bornová, Viktor Pivovarov, Ulric Roldanus and technical assistant Jiří Pikous. The absent Daniela Sneppová sent a multimedia greeting. The MAS production manager, Jitka Kapičáková Havlíková, presented the evening speech. In addition to the exhibited works, the guests could also see the permanent exposition of the Mikulov Art Symposia "The Harvest" 1994–2001. The evening programme continued with the performance of Roman Dragoun, wine tasting from the cellars of
the company Víno Marcinčák, spol. s r. o. Mikulov and eating at a sitting at the terrace of Salla Terrena, where the Jazz Gang of Michal Dvořák made the evening even more pleasant to the guests.
Ivana Lomová, a lady, who set the others free with a liberal approach to herself, became the curator this Mikulov Art Symposium "Workshop" 2002.
